And So It Begins

Here are some highlights of the good, the bad, and the ugly that took place this summer:
- We had the opportunity to work with the youth ministry at our home church (West Hills Community) and connect with students each week.
- We also had the opportunity to take the students to a week long camp at Hume Lake Christian Camp, where the theme was all about what it looked like to actually follow Christ with the very fitting verse Galatians 2:20…
“For I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.”
- Being able to reconnect with family on both sides and friends in Northern and Southern California was an absolute blessing and sweet treat that refreshed our souls.
- Unfortunately, being to eager to soak up the sun, Ji broke into a heat rash two separate times (swollen, itchy hives all over the face, neck, and upper body).
- Ji also lost her wedding ring…real sad day.
- Nehemiah is officially potty trained!!! A most real and serious victory y’all.
- Dakota is officially 1 years old and walking!!! Another most real and serious victory.
- We had the opportunity to serve alongside Tim’s grandparents distributing food each week to those in need in the local community.
- We hosted a dessert information night for our friends and family to hear in more detail our next steps in training with Ethnos 360 and the ultimate goal in church planting amongst an unreached people group. It was an incredible night with some dear, sweet friends.
- And as always, in every moment of every day God has been faithfully exposing all sorts of ugly within us and our need for Him, conforming us into the image of Christ. Thanks and praise to Christ Jesus that it is not up to us!

We have been asked this question at various times: What has motivated you to pursue missions?
The answer is this: Revelation 21:3-4
“Look, God’s home is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people .God Himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

We are yearning and eagerly waiting for that day when Christ returns and when people from EVERY tribe, nation, and tongue will be surrounding the throne of God in His glory - no more sin, pain, or suffering. And until that day we simply are willing to go and desire to be diligent to make best use of the time, that God may use us in our weaknesses that Christ and his all-sufficiency may be made known.

Friends, we are so incredibly STOKED for this next step in training with Ethnos360, that we may be better equipped with the necessary tools needed for tribal church planting.
Please be praying for us. If you are interested in specific prayer request go here, and if you would like more information in how you can support us financially please go here.

Thank you again dear friends for following us thus far! Until next time!
